I just came across this site Wowbrary (http://wowbrary.org) which will notify users when new items show up at their local library. Sounds like a cool idea, but they are charging the libraries (or Friends) between $500 and several thousand dollars annually to participate.

Is anyone familiar with this service? Does anyone have more information about how well it works? It might be a cool way to expand awareness of your library's services in the community, but is the price worth it?
